A man lost his life in a traffic accident on Shell Road on the island of Abaco on Christmas Day.
Police Press Liaison Officer, Assistant Superintendent of Police Stephen Rolle gave details of the incident. He said, “the incident occurred shortly before 11pm on Monday the 25th of December, 2023 on Shell Road located in Murphy Town which involved two vehicles, one of which was a silver Nissan Cube.”
The Assistant Superintendent added, “it is reported that the driver of the second vehicle fled the scene prior to the police arrival. However, responding officers observed a vehicle submerged in waters nearby and made a check where they discovered an unresponsive male passenger trapped on the inside. He was extricated from the vehicle and examined by EMS personnel who confirmed no vital signs of life. Police are in search of the driver of that vehicle and the investigation is ongoing.”
