The 2023 Cascarilla Festival came to a close with a church service held at Joshua Kingdom Ministries in Pinefield, Acklins on Sunday.
On hand at the service were former parliamentarians D. Shane Gibson and V. Alfred Gray, the former Member of Parliament for the area, who now serves as Bahamas High Commissioner to Canada. Both men delivered remarks at the service praising the organizers of the event for their efforts.
During her remarks event organizer Anita Verdecia paid tribute to the people from the island who influenced her in childhood.
