The corruption trial of the former Chairman of the Water and Sewerage Corporation and Member of Parliament for Long Island, the Hon. Adrian Gibson continues in the Supreme Court this week.  On the witness stand was Vernique Johnson, an employee in the internal control unit of the Water and Sewerage Corporation.

Johnson testified about contracts awarded and the results of an internal audit of payments made to vendors.  Also taking the stand was Chelsa Fernander, an engineer at the Water and Sewerage Corporation.  Fernander testified to the process of obtaining a contract to complete needed works at the Corporation and her role inspecting the works being executed.

The trial continues on Wednesday when Fernander is expected to continue her testimony.
