The Standards Department of the Bahamas Bureau of Standards and Quality (BBSQ) commemorated ‘World Standards Day,’ on Friday, October 14 — a day honoring the collaborative effort of global standardization organizations to bring about awareness of the importance of standards and quality assurance. This year’s theme ‘Shared Vision for a Better World’ focuses on the environmental impact of climate change and the role that regulatory organizations play in propelling knowledge of sustainable living forward, and making impactful change for a more environmentally-friendly world. BBSQ held an exhibit on World Standards Day at the Mall at Marathon to promote public awareness of the importance of standards and quality assurance.
