President Robert Sands reasoning that removing the requirement for fully vaccinated travelers to have a RT-PCR test after the stipulated two-week period, will have a decisive positive impact on visitor arrivals to the Bahamas.
The prime minister has made a similar provision in the case of traveling to and from certain family islands, which Sands believes spells good news for the economy, as Bahamians support local tourism related businesses.
The BHTA accepts though that until the Bahamas attains widespread vaccination, it cannot let its guard down.
