Senior Pastor of St. Paul’s Baptist Church in Fox Hill, Bishop J. Carl Rahming was honoured as he steps down from the church after forty one years of service. A gala was recently held for Bishop Rahming at the Superclubs Breezes Resort.
Rahming spoke with ZNS News on the sidelines of the event about his retirement. “I thought at this point in my life at the age of eighty I thought its time for me to step back. Not retiring from preaching per se but retiring for pastoring the church.”
The Bishop continued speaking on his plans for the future. He said, “I like the backyard, the farming part. And then, of course, I’ll be here and there family islands, United States, you know, friends, I’ll have a lot of time to visit with them and do what I can to help encourage. And I think that’s a good part of my ministry, I think I’ve been an encourager.”
The longtime pastor also advised that if you are truly called by God and they put that confection you must lead by example and be humble.
