Blue Window Offers Abaconians a Superior Shipping Experience

For reliable shipping and collection services, air freight, and on-island deliveries, residents on the island of Abaco and the surrounding cays have had to look no further than Blue Window Logistics. Founded in 2019, the company caters specifically to the Abaco market and has been making waves in the Northern Bahamas by going the extra mile for its customers. “Our customers know that we go beyond just shipping their goods. We help source supplies, vendors, just about anything that they may need for them to get what they need, the way they need it, and when they need it,” says James Cameron, CEO of Blue Window.

Cameron, who began his career as a yacht captain over 20 years ago, is no stranger to the island. “I’ve always considered Abaco to be my second home, and I wanted to present residents here with a convenient and affordable way to deliver goods as they needed,” he explained. In the aftermath of hurricane Dorian, Cameron became an active part of relief efforts in the reconstruction and recovery of the island. “I lived through hurricane Andrew, and experienced the full force and fury of a category 5 storm. When Dorian hit Abaco, I put much of my work on hold, and called upon past owners to help fund relief efforts.”

As Abaconians continue to adjust to the new normal, Blue Window and its small but dedicated team have worked to navigate COVID-19 restrictions and protocols to meet the evolving needs of their clients.

“We are currently a team of three” noted Cameron, who runs the office in Florida with wife, Deborah. “On the ground in Abaco, Steven Chea acts as our eyes and ears, making sure that all our customers have easy access to our services and troubleshooting any issues that may arise.” Already, the company is seeing real success among its customers who have come to depend on the service. “What I envisioned was a business that would hold customer goods free of charge until they were ready to ship, and to alleviate some of the costs associated with shipping goods from the United States. So far, we’ve developed a system that works and in doing so, we’ve been able to give our customers a more personal experience.”

Over the coming months and years, Cameron says that he hopes to further expand the company’s customer base and move the operation into other islands as well. “Our goal is to continue growing, and in doing so, continue minimizing transit times for our valued clients. Our clients can continue to expect the attention to detail we have provided so far, package inspections, and a guarantee that our customers’ packages arrive safely and in good condition.”.
