BTC joined H.O. Nash Junior High School last week as they celebrated the achievements of over three hundred students in the recent BJC examinations. More than 70% of the school’s population achieved passing grades. The top five students received six A’s and two students were recognized for achieving the top scores in the country for Visual Arts.
The top five students, Stephenardo Rolle Jr. Ryanell Cunningham, Rithoria Emmanuel, Davanna Natoya Douglas, and Deroneshe Young were gifted brand new Samsung mobile devices and a gift card.
BTC CEO, Andre Foster said, “Despite a very difficult year adjusting to distance learning during a global pandemic the students of H.O. Nash have continued to excel. We were happy to be a part of the celebration to recognize the exceptional performance
of these students. We are grateful for our partnership with this school over the years and we will continue to support them as they help to mould and nurture the futureleaders of our country. I am very proud of our own BTC team members who stepped up
and donated tablets out of their own pockets to H.O. Nash students that were still in need during our Christmas giveback initiative.”
H.O. Nash’s principal, Mr. Andrae Nairn said, “”Recover, Redesign, Reboot…Roaring through 2021 is our theme that demonstrates the determination of our students to excel regardless of adversity and difficult times. On behalf of the H. O Nash Lions, I would
like to thank BTC for helping us honor our most outstanding students.”
Students recently returned to school after having attending school in a virtual environment since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. During the pandemic, BTC also provided personal protective equipment for teachers and administrators.
