Officials at Carnival Cruise Line recently revealed more about the Celebration Key development project on the island of Grand Bahama giving details about its Paradise Plaza and Calypso Lagoon attractions. Paradise Plaza will be a welcome area featuring a 10 story sandcastle, an ice cream shop and music while Calypso Lagoon is to be an adult friendly space offering sporting activities, a swim up bar, loungers and more.
President of Carnival Cruise Line, Christine Duffy shared here excitement about the project in a statement. She said, “Paradise Plaza will be the perfect welcome spot and will set the tone for the entire visit to this truly unique destination. These new details show the creative design that’s gone into the development of each portal, with Calypso Lagoon alone offering a wide variety of options to fill the day while honouring the reality of Grand Bahama and celebrating Bahamian culture.
Celebration Key is expected to open in summer 2025.
