Chery International made its official entry into The Bahamas with the launch of the Tiggo SUV lineup. The event, hosted by Chery Bahamas (Supreme Auto) on University Drive, gathered leaders from banking and insurance, media members, and the brand’s first local customers. Each customer received a $500 manufacturer’s rebate during the reception.
“This launch is more than a showcase of sleek designs and cutting-edge features. It is a celebration of partnership between industry leaders, customers, and the Chery team,” said Christine Robinson, Managing Director of Supreme Auto. “Together, we’re building a driving experience that reflects the spirit of The Bahamas that is dynamic, dependable, and distinctly bold.”
Chery International arrives with substantial global credibility. Founded in 1997, the Chery Group operates in more than 100 countries and regions. It has remained the top Chinese passenger car exporter for 22 consecutive years. This track record underscores the brand’s manufacturing scale, engineering focus, and supplier network. Those strengths are now available to Bahamian drivers through Chery Bahamas.
“We evaluated four elements, including product, service, technology, and price. We are pleased that Chery delivered on all four,” said Anthony Robinson, President of Supreme Auto. “The vehicles are modern in design, with ample space and more than adequate ground clearance, important for our roads and changing weather.” He added, “The technology in the Tiggo lineup is there to make the vehicle more reliable and safer to assist your driving.”
Discussing ownership support, Anthony Robinson noted the dealership’s focus on service readiness at launch. “Our service plan is anchored by the manufacturer’s seven-year or 125,000-miles, whichever comes first, warranty program designed to keep the cost of owning and operating your vehicle competitive throughout its life.”
The Tiggo models showcased in Nassau include the compact Tiggo 4 with a city-friendly footprint and modern digital cockpit and driver-assist features. The midsize Tiggo 7 has added space and presence for growing families and longer commutes. The three-row Tiggo 8 with up to seven seats, premium appointments, and a stylish interior.
Christine Robinson thanked financial institutions and insurance partners for their collaboration, emphasizing that access and protection are central to the brand’s mission. “Your partnership is instrumental in making vehicle ownership more accessible and secure for our customers,” she said. “To our first customers, thank you for believing in our vision. Your confidence in the Chery brand inspires us to keep pushing boundaries and delivering excellence.”
Guests were invited to explore each model at the dealership with product specialists, experience the in-cabin technology, and schedule test drives to compare trims, features, and pricing. “We are excited for the opportunity to offer the Bahamian public safe, reliable, and affordable quality with the Chery Tiggo lineup,” Anthony Robinson concluded.
