Deputy Prime Minister and Minister Of Education, Science and Technology, the Hon. Chester Cooper recently visited L. N. Coakley High School in Exuma. It was his first official school visit since taking the helm at the education ministry.
Cooper told ZNS News that he has also met with Bahamas Union of Teachers President, Belinda Wilson and that he will meet with officials of the other unions as well. He said, “we has a very engaging, productive conversation. Ultimately, we want the same things. We want progress for our children. We want a productive education sector. I want an ecosystem that’s serving that needs of the Bahamian people. I’m looking forward to my continued education in the Ministry of Education so that I can be even more effective as a policy maker.”
