The principal of the C. V. Bethel Senior High School is touting the achievement of past and present graduates of the institution.
According to Principal Harcourt McCoy, “one of our students was able to apply to twenty five schools and was accepted to twenty five schools. Her scholarship total alone was some $311,000. With a multiplicity of students in the C. V. Bethel band having multiple offers from different schools and basically making the best choice for the most amount of money offered to them.”
McCoy also said, “what we’ve been able to accomplish here at C. V. Bethel is tapping into what they like. And because the band is so dynamic, there’s so many different instruments, percussionists, different members of the band and section leaders. We’ve been able to use that to tap into the boys to be able to get a balanced amount of scholarships.”
