The Bahamas Chinese Dragon Boat Association donated $8,000 to the Cancer Society of The Bahamas at a press event held this week.
Cancer Society President Rochelle Wilkinson was present at the event. She said, “we’ve been on board with the Association since they started last year. Once we knew the benefits to breast cancer survivors and we’ll continue to support this initiative because it is very important to us as well as to the Association.”
President of Bahamas Chinese Dragon Boat Association, Dr. Christine Chin was also in attendance. She said, “I am deeply moved by the generosity and the compassion shown by your members and supporters. Together we hope that we are making a meaningful impact in the lives of those affected by cancer. I encourage everyone to join us in this noble cause as every contribution, no matter how big or small, plays a crucial role in advancing the mission of the Cancer Society.”
