The 2025 Eleuthera Business Outlook event took place last week in Rock Sound, Eleuthera. One of the presenters was President of the Eleuthera Chamber of Commerce Thomas Sands.
During his presentation Sands encouraged Eleutherans to take advantage of the opportunities currently available on the island. He said, “if we wish to maximize the moment and opportunity while maintaining our identity it will require a series of significant interventions. We are hopeful that this can be achieved and that the forecast economic outlook will continue at this incredible momentum despite a new level of global disruption and uncertainty. Smart and sophisticate investors who love Eleuthera tell me not to be distracted by the noise to the north but instead Eleuthera should stay that course that the end result will drive even more desire to invest and live in Eleuthera.”
The Chamber President also advanced that changes be made to legislation to offer more exemptions to Eleuthera businesses for such items as building materials, electrical supplies, furniture, appliances, equipment, commercial vehicles, land clearing machinery and related parts necessary for that business’ operations.
