Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation, the Hon. Chester Cooper outlined some of the infrastructural improvement plans that will aid in ensuring a first class visitor experience across the country.

Cooper said, “that’s why we’re building fourteen airports as well across these islands, Cat Island included, of course we’re going to complete Exuma, there are thirteen others and then there’s twelve others and then there’s Grand Bahama, so overall fifteen. We hope to be able to cut ribbon for many of them within the next two to three years and this steady progress is going to continue. We cannot build the economy on sand we have to build it on a strong foundation.”

Bahamas Striping Group of Companies (BSGC) is currently on the ground in Exuma conducting road repair and construction. BSGC announced several partnerships with family island companies over the weekend that will further infrastructural development on the family islands.
