The Free National Movement [FNM] held a special called meeting at their headquarters in New Providence and Grand Bahama. Those gathered in Grand Bahama watched on monitors as FNM Leader, Leader of the Official Opposition and Member of Parliament for Marco City, the Hon. Michael Pintard spoke in New Providence. The meeting was called subsequent to members of the opposition staging a protest in the House of Assembly on Wednesday.
Member of Parliament for East Grand Bahama, the Hon. Kwasi Thompson was in attendance at the meeting in Grand Bahama and spoke to reporters there. He said, “there are questions about crime. There are questions about immigration. There are questions about taxes, questions about small businesses, questions about any number of financial bills, questions about the procurement act, the central bank act. All of these are important issues that the public needs answers to.”
