Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Public Service, Member of Parliament for Fox Hill and Chairman of the Progressive Liberal Party, the Hon. Fred Mitchell commented on the action taken in the House of Assembly by members of the opposition on Wednesday.
In a viral video Mitchell said, “Michael Pintard and the leader of the opposition did not stop the business of the House. The business of the House carried on. Michael Pintard is an actor and Michael Pintard was in the greatest act of his life. One supposes he deserves an academy award after all of that and PLPs should treat this as simply a fancy acting job. So the business of the House did not stop, the Speaker and the PLP were conscious of the fact that this was a big con job, trying to fool the Bahamian public and it got stopped dead in its tracks. So be of good courage and just think of things in that light.”
