The courts in the Turks and Caicos Islands imposing hefty fines on four Bahamians, including a married couple, who admitted to having forged negative covid-19 tests results at the Providenciales International Airport back in April.
The defendants Terrence Pinder was fined 4,700 dollars or ten months in prison, his wife, Malester Pinder was fined 3,300 dollars or eight months in prison.
The court also fined Akia Rigby-White 4,700 dollars or ten months behind bars; while Cindy Rolle was fined, 3,303 dollars or eight months in prison.
Now the fines could have been higher, but the judge took into consideration their guilty pleas. Rolle did not pay her fine, she has until this coming Monday, July 12th to do so.
