The Ministry of Grand Bahama has officially opened its Collab Center. A ribbon cutting event was held this past weekend attended by Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis as well as Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation, the Hon. Chester Cooper.

Minister for Grand Bahama, the Hon. Ginger Moxey brought remarks at the event. “We recognize that innovative ideas that linked government agencies, NGOs, businesses and like minded individuals within the Grand Bahamas community would spark impactful collaborations because again two is greater than one. And these public private partnerships would allow us to work together as a collective to identify issues, join forces, create the framework and take action for results.”

For his part, Prime Minister Davis also delivered remarks at the opening. He told attendees, “it is not simply about providing jobs and entrepreneurial opportunities. It is about transforming lives. Today, I invite all of you tp work hand in hand with Collab as we are not only bringing relief to those in need, we need it for the growth of this island. I also appeal to corporate Grand Bahama and to the NGOs here today to become a part of Collab to further expand on what can only be seen as a revolutionary initiative that invites true collaboration for development.”

This initiative is aimed at better collaboration between stakeholders to help the residents of Grand Bahama.
