The Minister for Grand Bahama, the Hon. Ginger Moxey lambasted the former Free National Movement (FNM) administration for their response to Hurricane Dorian in 2019.
While speaking in the House Of Assembly, Moxey said, “spoiled products that were meant to be distributed to the people in need, hoarding of supplies that should have been distributed, selling of generators which should have been given away to those in need, becoming a hindrance to NGOs who simply wanted to come to the rescue of those in need and they had a ministry for disaster that became a disaster with a piecemeal, ineffective approach to managing home repairs.”
Minister Moxey also confirmed in Parliament that the government complex in Eight Mile Rock, Grand Bahama will be named in honour of the late Hon. Obie Wilchcombe.
