Robert Clarke Jr. landed on Grand Bahama for the first time as a pilot with Silver Airways.

Clarke was met at the Grand Bahama International Airport by members of his family. He said, “its a dream come true to actually fly back in Freeport as a first officer and an ATP pilot. And actually put this in a record and milestone book.”

Speaking of his experience as a Silver Airways pilot Clarke noted, “its different, right now because I always came in and fly as as a general aviation pilot but now I’m actually with a bigger airline and with a bigger company and doing it as a first officer and with an actual captain on my side.”

Senator James Turner was also at the airport to greet Clarke calling it a great day for Bahamian men and a greater day for Bahamian women. “Because when a mother can stand and see her son come on home and performing in an international environment that is a proud moment,” Turner said.
