Minister for Grand Bahama, the Hon. Ginger Moxey and other local official toured the island of Grand Bahama to assess any damage left behind by Nicole. The tour began in the west where the Minister visited Eight Mile Rock and headed further west to West End.

Moxey said, “we’re really excited about what we see here, cause you know, Grand Bahama, we’ve just been going through it for a very long time. And so, based on the initial assessment I can safely say that we have done pretty well.”

The delegation also toured east Grand Bahama. Sen. the Hon. James Turner who was a part of the assessment said, “there was some moderate flooding in the roads but if you’re in a 4×4 truck you could get by. Of course the roofs that were already compromised suffered a lil more but overall the news is good. No one got hurt, everyone is in up spirits and everyone intends to go on, so we thank God for that.”
