Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis addressed the issue of retail grocers not complying with the new price control amendments instituted in October 2022.
While attending the Urban Renewal Christmas Tree Lighting event Davis said, “we are going to insist that they obey the law. We could put more food on the price control list to ensure that the food that we need is at the right price and again, we will make sure that they obey the law.”
Mr. Davis went on to say, “we’re a country of laws. And so, we’re going to make sure that what we do to help you gets to you. Because if you don’t ensure that, it may never get to you.”
