Haiti travel ban extended

That travel ban on Haiti has been extended to July 11th. According to the Emergency Powers COVID-19 Pandemic Management and Recovery Amendment Order issued last night.

It stipulates that entry into the Bahamas of any vessel or person, who has departed from Haiti, whether by direct transport routes or by transiting through another country, by air or sea, is prohibited until July 11th.

It was back in May when government’s ban imposed on travelers from Haiti was extended for 30 days as officials found it necessary to take the measure, given the continuing uncertainties regarding the management of the pandemic in Haiti.
