Police officers recently traveled to Grand Bahama where they questioned former employees of the Disaster Reconstruction Authority (DRA) and others as part of their continuing investigation into the findings of a forensic audit carried out at the authority.
DRA Executive Chairman Alex Storr provided an update on the investigation. He said, “we handed over the forensic audit to the police who in turn of their study of the audit are now conducting an investigation.”
Storr also informed that while the police are investigating DRA officials have “no interference, no say in what the police are doing.” He said he was happy to turn the matter over to police which allows the authority to focus on home repairs and others things that people are crying out for.
The Executive Chairman also appealed to anyone that may have items belonging to the DRA to turn them in as police are on the ground investigating.
