Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture the Hon. Mario Bowleg met with R&A Latin America and Caribbean Regional Managing Director Mark Lawrie, during a courtesy call at his ministry, on June 10, 2025. Royal and Ancient Golf Club (R&A) is the world golf governing body, apart from that of the US and Mexico which are governed by the United States Golf Association (USGA). Among those present were his Ministry’s Acting Director of Sports Kelsie Johnson-Sills; Bahamas Golf Federation Vice-President Anthony Hinsey; former president Craig Flowers; Flamingos Golf Club 242 founder and National Sports Hall of Famer Agatha Delancy; Nathaniel McKinney of the Ministry of Tourism, Investments and Aviation; Clara Storr and Floyd Armbrister of the Ministry of Education and Technical and Vocational Training.
