The Bahamas Department of Marine Resources of the Ministry of Agriculture and Marine Resources held a three-day workshop at Superclubs Breezes on Fisheries Law Enforcement. Held under the theme ‘Enforce, Protect, Sustain,’ marine and fisheries officers; Royal Bahamas Police Force (RBPF) officers, Customs officers, Immigration officers and Royal Bahamas Defence Force (RBDF) officers were among participants. Those attending were presented certificates of participation. Minister of Agriculture and Marine Resources the Hon. Jomo Campbell addressed the workshop, June 19, and thanked participants for their attendance. Minister Campbell noted that enforcement of marine and fisheries laws is as important to a country as enforcement of any law and must be taken seriously.
