Minister for Grand Bahama, the Hon. Ginger Moxey addressed the 2026 Grand Bahama Business Outlook event on Thursday where she highlighted the progress the island has made in recent years.
She said, “over the past four and a half years we have seen tangible progress and stability in key pillars of the Grand Bahama economy through coordinated public and private sector efforts. Essential services were reinforced, infrastructural upgrades prioritized, legacy issues being addressed, investor confidence returned.”
The minister also noted several of the major project helping to revive the island’s economy. “We’re seeing renewed activity in industrial and commercial development. Multiple sectors are expanding including wholesale and distribution, AML Foods Ltd. recently broke ground on a new distribution center at the old Solomon’s Queen Highway location. The island’s retail, real estate and construction sectors are also experiencing growth. These investments should not be viewed as isolated events they are connect by a shared belief that Grand Bahama’s best days lie ahead,”
This year marked the 27th time the event has been held on Grand Bahama.
