Minister for Grand Bahama, the Hon. Ginger Moxey spoke with ZNS News giving a preview of the plans for her ministry for this year saying, “for 2024 we will continue to work on what we have started from day one.”
The Minister also announced plans for the Incubator Project. She said, “it’s going to be really the home of all things needed to get your going in business.”
Moxey spoke to the revitalization of the Garden Villas community which she toured along with the Minister of Housing and Urban Renewal last year. She said of the area, ”it’s one that has many buildings, many need to be demolished. But also we’re gonna work on a housing program there as well.”
Another project that the Minister says she is focusing on this year is the opening of the Bazaar Road.
Moxey says the Ministry for Grand Bahama has been “working hand and hand with the other ministries because that’s the role of the Ministry, to liaise with other ministries in order to ensure that people are provided with the support that they need.”
The Member of Parliament for West Grand Bahama and Bimini, the Hon. Kingsley Smith will be joining the Ministry For Grand Bahama as Parliamentary Secretary after being sworn in on Tuesday.
