The Ministry of Health and Wellness received a shipment of Pfizer vaccine, November 3, 2021 numbering 134,550 doses to assist in the fight against COVID-19. The shipment, which arrived mid-day at LPIA, was facilitated by the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA). The United States Embassy had sent the vaccines to CARPHA to be distributed to The Bahamas. Present at LPIA to meet the shipment were Minister of Health and Wellness, the Hon. Dr. Michael Darville; US Embassy Charge d’Affaires Usha Pitts; Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Health and Wellness.
