The National Emergency Management Agency [NEMA] held a press briefing at 10am this morning [November 9th]. All relevant government agencies were represented at the press event.
Director of NEMA, Captain Stephen Russell said, “during the course of the night the full team was here at NEMA monitoring the system, hearing from our islands as best we can. Up to this morning, we know that some 27 shelters were activated and a total of some 528 persons reported into shelters up to 7am this morning.”
Acting Prime Minister, the Hon. Chester Cooper and Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister, the Hon. Myles Laroda were in attendance.
