The Member of Parliament for Pineridge, the Hon. Ginger Moxey held a Christmas party and giveaway in her constituency on Columbus Park over the weekend.
Moxey informed that this is the third year the event is being held. “We have food, drinks, music, gifts, plenty gifts for the kids because this is a diverse community but many in the community do not have. And so we always want to ensure that each kid leaves with a gift.”
Former Members of Parliament for the area, Ann Percentie-Russell and the Hon. Michael Darville were also in attendance at the festive event.
Percentie-Russell told ZNS News, “I reside in Pineridge, a few feet from where I stand. And its a genuine effort she has done. She’s showing the continued care by myself, Dr. Darville and now her.”
For his part, Dr. Darville, who now serves as the Member of Parliament for Tall Pines in New Providence and Minister of Health and Wellness said, “being here on Columbus Park brings back great memories from my interaction with the residents of Pineridge. And we’re here in full support of Ginger who we believe is doing an excellent job, not only in Pineridge but as Minister for Grand Bahama.”
