The Member of Parliament for Pinewood, the Hon. Myles Laroda held a back to school event over the weekend in his constituency. Attendees were treated to food, drinks, music and free school supplies including back packs and personal hygiene products.

Laroda told ZNS News, “I’m surprised at the amount of kids that come up to me and say, my MP you came to my school multiple times and so kids remember. I would be at Cleveland Eneas on Monday. I did a walkabout with the principal Avernell Rutherford Smith on Friday to check the standing of the school to meet some of the teachers and teacher’s aid and let them know that I am here for them. Monday morning, again, I will be on the ground to welcome the new students and to welcome the new staff and principal and administrative team personally.”

The Member of Parliament also presented free tablets to high achievers.
