Ann and I are heartbroken by the tragic loss of four young women in the early hours of this morning due to a fatal car accident. We extend our deepest condolences to their families, loved ones, friends, classmates, and every person whose life has been forever changed by this devastating tragedy.
There are moments when words are simply not enough.
We are also praying for the recovery of those who remain hospitalized and ask that God grant them healing and strength in the difficult days ahead.
As a nation, we mourn together. In times such as these, we are reminded of how precious and fragile life is. I ask all Bahamians to keep these grieving families in your prayers and to surround them with the love, compassion, and support they will need in the days and weeks ahead.
On behalf of the Government and people of The Bahamas, Ann and I offer our heartfelt sympathy. We pray that God will comfort every grieving heart and give strength to all who mourn.
I pray that the memories of these young women forever remain a blessing to those who loved them.
