Police in the capital are probing the country’s latest homicide. Preliminary reports are that shortly after 7:00 a.m. Monday, police were alerted to gunshots in the area of Wulff Road and Market Street by shot spotter technology.
Officers responded and on their arrival at the scene, they were informed that a male and female were sitting in a vehicle. When a lone gunman approached them and discharged his weapon at the vehicle, hitting the male occupant in his upper body. The suspect fled the scene on foot. The victim was transported to the hospital via a private vehicle, where he later succumbed to his injuries. this matter remains under active investigation.
