Police are investigating multiple homicides occurring over the weekend. One incident happened in Montell Heights where two men were shot outside of a home by two male suspects. One of the victims succumbed to his injuries and the other was taken to hospital.
In another incident a man was sitting on a scooter outside of a residence in Nassau Village when another man opened fire at him. The suspect fled on foot and the victim died sometime later.
Police Press Liaison Officer, Chief Superintendent Chrislyn Skippings made an appeal to the public saying, “if you are aware of any of the incidents or the conflict that is going on we’re asking you to please contact the officers at the Criminal Investigations Department. Parents you have a responsibility to communicate, collaborate with your Royal Bahamas Police Force. Let’s address the conflicts and let’s see if we can resolve these without having our young people lose their lives.”
