The Royal Bahamas Police Force carried out Operation United Force in the capital on Wednesday as part of its efforts to crackdown on stolen vehicles and other infractions.

Assistant Commissioner Of Police Craig Stubbs told reporters, “I know for the year so far, I think we have more than enough stolen vehicles recorded in New Providence. We’re gonna be targeting those suspected stolen vehicles and they would be more of the Japanese model vehicle, we’re gonna be targeting them. We’re also going to be targeting our prolific offenders.”

More than one hundred officers took part in the operation which resulted in over one hundred traffic citations and 36 arrests. A man was also arrested for an outstanding criminal warrant.
