Eighteen Bahamians received insignias at the 2022 Queen’s Birthday Honours investiture ceremony held at the Bahamar Resort on Wednesday. This will be the last honours in the name of Her Late Majesty The Queen who passed away in September.

The insignias were presented by Governor General, His Excellency the Most Hon. Cornelius Smith. Also on hand was Prime Minister, the Hon. Philip Davis who delivered remarks on the occasion. “Your appointments by Her Late Majesty are well earned. From this moment forward and onward it is my hope that you will go forth with a sense of pride in your accomplishments as well as a sense of purpose in continuing to live up to the honours bestowed upon you here today.”

Among the honourees were Bishops Delton Fernander, Lawrence Rolle and Walter Hanchell, Kyron Strachan, Churchill Tener Knowles, Leo Marvin Pinder and Stephen Trevor Wright.
