RBDF Captain Presents Certificates to Residents at RBDF Satellite Base

In keeping with the Commander Defence Force Commodore Dr. Raymond King’s strategic intent reference Decentralization, the Commanding Officer for the RBDF’s SOUTHERN COMMAND, Captain Glenn McPhee recently conducted a tour of HMBS GUNN POINT, Ragged Island.

Captain McPhee along with Force Chief Petty Officer Kevin Fountain, Master-At-Arms SOUTHERN COMMAND, presented certificates of participation on behalf of the Commander Defence Force to nine residents of Duncan Town, Ragged Island. They successfully completed a First Aid, C.P.R and, Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) Course conducted by Chief Petty Officer Terrance Arnett (Emergency Medical Technician/ Health Service Technician) on 19-20 April at HMBS Gunn Point.

Receiving certificates were: Mercedes Clarke, Davontay Wallace, Erica Wallace, Phicol Wallace, Terry Lockhart, D’Marcio Wallace, Lester Wallace, Michael Fountain Sr. and Henry Smith Jr.

The RBDF GUNN POINT Deployment Team, led by Petty Officer Philip Culmer, is a part of the SOUTHERN COMMAND, whose mission is to ensure continuity of administration, operations, and logistical support for all RBDF missions originating, transiting through, or around the southern Bahamas. The Royal Bahamas Defence Force remains committed to the pursuit of excellence as the Officers and Marines continue to Guard our Heritage.
