Commissioner of Police, Clayton Fernander revealed crime fighting plans for 2023 to members of the media at a press event held this week.

Speaking on the record number of murders which occurred in 2022. March of that year accounting for the most murders. Fernander said, “we cannot afford and ever repeat this tragedy, the bloodiest month in history. Our goal is to hold the line and reduce the overall number of homicides for 2023 to double digits. We want to stem the fear of crime and this starts now.”

Fernander expressed confidence that consistency and working with the goal of reduction in murder and crime will be attained.
