Press Statement
Scotiabank has expanded its partnership with Baha Mar Resort through a significant multi-year sponsorship, becoming the Presenting Sponsor and the exclusive financial services partner of this year’s Culinary and Arts Festival, set for October 21–25.
Scotiabank continues to support art through its Global Arts Program, through which nearly 10,000 works of art are managed across its international footprint. The Bahamas Culinary & Arts Festival brings together culture, hospitality and business development in a distinctive regional showcase, which also aligns with Scotiabank’s mandate to support businesses in the hospitality sector—a significant income earner for many island states. Following strong engagement with clients and business leaders during its inaugural involvement, Scotiabank recognized an opportunity to broaden the partnership and help elevate one of the Caribbean’s premier culinary events.
“Our expanded partnership with Baha Mar reflects our strong belief in the Caribbean’s future and in the unique power of culture to bring people together, inspire new opportunities, and contribute to sustainable economic growth,” said Roger Archer, Vice President and Country Head, Scotiabank Bahamas. “As Presenting Sponsor, we are proud to help create a world-class platform that celebrates the extraordinary talent, creativity and entrepreneurship found across our region, from chefs and artists and local businesses in hospitality. Supporting this event also allows us to deepen relationships with our clients and communities through authentic experiences that showcase the very best of the Caribbean.”
The multi-year sponsorship will also strengthen strategic relationships and support business growth in the Bahamas.
