On behalf of The Ministry for Grand Bahama, I express my deepest condolences to the family of retired educator Mrs. Mary Cooper.
Mrs. Cooper led an exemplary life. She was a highly esteemed educator who selflessly dedicated her life to service. Her commitment and passion for educating our nation’s youth is evident in the wonderful legacy she has left behind; a legacy which is immortalized in the countless Bahamian men and women who were educated under her tutelage, and today are productive citizens making invaluable contributions to The Bahamas and to countries around the world.
Mrs. Mary Cooper was one of the finest educators to hail from West End, Grand Bahama, serving in the capacity as a Teacher, Senior Mistress, Vice-Principal, Principal, Assistant Director of Education and District Superintendent during her distinguished career.
She was a transformational leader and she will be missed. May her soul rest in peace.
