A man succumbed to injuries he sustained in a traffic accident on Fire Trail Road West on November 1st. The accident was a head on collision between a Honda CRV and a Suzuki Swift.

Head of the Traffic Division, Chief Superintendent David Lockhart was on the scene where he briefed reporters on the incident. “Persons in that vehicle, they work for a shipping company and they was transporting goods in the vehicle at the time of this collision.”

Mr. Lockhart encouraged Bahamians to slow down and obey the rules of the road. He also admonished the motoring public about overtaking saying, “if you are going to overtake you must take into account the area you’re overtaking and is it appropriate to overtake at the time. Because you have to take in account oncoming vehicles if your able to overtake safely and then get back into your lane. And as always we encourage people to obey all the rules and regulation of the road.”
