A man and a seventeen year old male are both dead after being stabbed in separate incidents on the island of Grand Bahama over the weekend.
The first incident occurred on Saturday at an establishment in the Eight Mile Rock area where the adult male was found. Police Press Officer, Superintendent Nicholas Johnson provided to members of the media. He said, “shortly before 11pm police received a report of a stabbing incident in the Hepburn Town area. As a result of that officers responded along with EMS and on arrival at a residence they were directed to they yard where they observed a male who was suffering from an injury to the neck.”
A short time later police responded to another stabbing on Milton Street. Reports are that during an altercation involving several persons three males were stabbed including a seventeen year old who succumbed to his injuries while receiving medical attention. The other victims were treated at hospital and released.
Superintendent Johnson said, “shortly after 3 am police emergency received a call of an incident that took place on Milton Street in the area of a local nightclub. As a result of the information officers were dispatched. However, on arrival we received additional information that the persons who were involved in this incident were transported to the Rand Memorial Hospital by private vehicle.”
Both cases are under active investigation by police.
