Meantime, the U.S. coast guard transferred 18 Haitian migrants to the Bahamas last Friday following an interdiction the day prior a Bahamian onboard the 27-foot vessel is being questioned by U.S. homeland security investigators.
U.S. customs and border protection air and marine operations law enforcement officers have taken the vessel in its custody.
