Vaping Concern

There is growing concern in the country about minors vaping. Health Education Demand Reduction Officer, Antanette Anderson sounds the alarm on the issue.

“The issue is very very prevalent. As late as Friday afternoon we got a call from a school, a fifth grader was found vaping in a primary school so they were very concerned about the ramifications of that. Is the child doing something else? What they could do to assist the child.”

Ms. Anderson continued, “we know that people used to say cigarettes are the gateway into using other harsher drugs and now its the vaping and the vape pens where are so very much more dangerous than using the cigarette. So it is indeed a gateway into our children doing other things, using other substances.”
