‘Logos Hope,’ the world’s largest floating book fair, officially opened its doors to the public on Friday, September 19, 2025, marking a momentous occasion for book lovers, students and families throughout Grand Bahama.
The opening ceremony took place at Freeport Harbour North Gate, drawing a large crowd eager to explore thousands of affordable books.
Captain of Logos Hope Matt Stephens shared his enthusiasm about returning to Grand Bahama after four years.
Minister for Grand Bahama, the Hon. Ginger Moxey, expressed her excitement and appreciation for Logos Hope’s visit.
“Your visit enriches our community by giving residents and visitors a unique opportunity to engage with your remarkable group and explore the thousands of books on this vessel,” she said.
“I encourage all students, teachers, parents and everyone to take full advantage of the opportunity to visit the world’s largest floating book fair in Grand Bahama,” she added.
Logos Hope is expected to remain in port until September 30th, offering public access to the bookstore and onboard cultural activities for all ages.
