Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture the Hon. Mario Bowleg recently visited Youth Apprenticeship Summer Camps, held at R.M. Bailey Senior High School. The young apprentices had the opportunity to show the Minister the valuable skills they acquired this summer: cooking, baking, carpentry, videography & photography, and sewing.
Joining Minister Bowleg on the camp tour were Ministry officials — Sandena Neely, Head of Division of Youth; Dereka Deleveaux-Grant, Acting Director of Culture; Rashard Ritchie, Assistant Director of Youth; Chanda Roberts, Youth Officer and Coordinator of Youth Apprenticeship Camps; Lauren-Ashley Heastie, Youth Officer and Assistant Coordinator of Youth Apprenticeship Camps; and Youth Officers of the Division of Youth.
Instructing the camps were: Shenell Ferguson, Cooking Apprenticeship Camp; Jameel Lightbourne, Baking Apprenticeship Camp; Bradley Saunders, Carpentry Apprenticeship Camp; Shavado Gibson, Videography and Photography Apprenticeship Camp; and Sharon Ellis, Sewing Apprenticeship Camp.
