The executive and staff of the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas held a service of thanksgiving and distributed gifts and a thanksgiving meal to the elderly residents of the Naomi Christie Center in Jasmine Gardens.
The service was attended by Member of Parliament for South Beach, the Hon. Bacchas Rolle, Minister of State with responsibility for ZNS, the Hon. Myles Laroda, and Minister of Social Services and Urban Development, the Hon. Obie Wilchcombe.
Minister Wilchcombe addressed the event saying, “the truth is the establishment of the Broadcasting Corporation of The Bahamas was to give, was intended to connect The Bahamas, an archipelagic nation. That is why its so important to appreciate the work that you do and I wish to celebrate all of you who have made a difference. I wish to celebrate the chairman who has returned to his home and now providing the leadership.”
Remarks were also delivered by Bacchas Rolle and Executive Chairman, Picewell Forbes along with the welcome address by General Manager, Andrew Burrows.
