A 22 year old man lost his life in the latest traffic fatality on the island of Abaco, the second fatal car accident in a week. The other incident involved a 37 year old man who lost his life on July 22nd on the S. C. Bootle Highway.
Police Press Liaison Officer Assistant Superintendent of Police Stephen Rolle gave details of the latest incident. Rolle said when police got arrived on the scene “they would have met a 2013 Black Honda Civic vehicle with a lone male driver who was suffering from injuries to the body. Upon the initial investigation it appears as the driver was traveling east on Forest Drive at a high rate of speed when he lost control of that vehicle and collided into a utility poll. He was taken to the Marsh Harbour Clinic via ambulance where he was seen by a doctor and later succumbed to his injuries.”
Rolle appealed to drivers on the island of Abaco to do so with due care and attention.
